A luxurious, peaceful retreat with exceptional food, top-notch comfort, and a great pool.

• High standards, reflected in its star rating. • Peaceful and secluded location between the lagoon and the sea. • Close to Colombo Airport (about 30 minutes). • Excellent cuisine with a focus on Ayurveda and healthy, natural ingredients. • A small but high-quality spa with great service. • Very comfortable beds for a restful sleep. • Spacious, beautifully designed bungalow-style rooms with semi-open bathrooms. • Friendly and attentive staff. • Two restaurant menus: one with traditional Sri Lankan dishes and one focused on healthy eating. • Stunning architecture and a 100-meter pool, perfect for swimming.

Very relaxing stay with beach and lagoon water side.

The hotel is very peaceful and quiet. What we liked is that you have both the lagoon and sea side. Very relaxing environment. VERY long swimming pool (100m!) with shaded sitting areas around the pool. The food is delicious.

In general the drinks take a lot of time to serve (even just a bottle of water). We were a bit disappointed with the massage but the hotel offered a 30min free session which we appreciated a lot. The wifi (but you're here to relax :) ) is slow and unstable.

Everything was excellent and the staff were brilliant. The two key areas of feedback were that the air conditioning was very loud and it would have been helpful to have had tables by the pool.

Simply wonderful

Loved it here. So peaceful and calm, lovely feeling to the place. Great food (try the Sri Lankan curry!) a beer by the lagoon on an evening at sunset is just magical. Massive pool, bedrooms were comfortable and apart from slow service by pool side I couldn’t fault it

Relaxing and luxurious oasis to rest before flight

The setting was beautiful with access to both the beach and lagoon. We had a super spacious family room with an extra bed which allowed all 4 of us to sleep in comfort. The bathroom was luxurious with a great shower (and a tub, but we didn’t use this). The main pool is massive (~100m long!) and was a great place to relax during the day, with attentive and helpful staff. There was also a pool by the beach, which was nice but there were no staff there and only a couple of sun loungers. We enjoyed several delicious meals at the restaurant, which overlooks the lagoon. The staff were excellent and the hoppers at the breakfast buffet were particularly memorable. Overall, this was the perfect place to relax for a couple of days before boarding our flight to leave paradise

There is occasional noise from aircraft as the hotel is close to the departure flight path from Colombo Airport. However, this did not affect our sleep or ability to relax during the day. Additionally, we found the air conditioning in the room to be a bit underpowered - but when combined with the ceiling fan, the room was comfortable.

Wonderful hotel. Very recommendable

Very nice and comfortable hotel. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, the pool is enormous and the view over the lagoon splendid. the staff has always a warm smile ready for you and lets you feel welcomed at this great place. Any time again!!!

The service staff isn't always very attentive. You have to take care of getting a drink by the pool or a refilling of your tea at breakfast.

The room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable! I loved the outdoor bathroom. The pool is beautiful and we enjoyed spending the first and last day of our holiday by the pool. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The massage at the spa was wonderful.

Not much. One small issue was the room service we ordered was a little disappointing and was not really as per the description on the menu.

Relaxed vibes in a very nice hotel

Booked this as it was near to the airport for one night only and I was delighted to find out that it’s a truly lovely hotel. Very helpful staff, enormous pool, huge rooms, beach across the road, good massages and delicious breakfast with a view. Would have happily stayed for longer.

Banning families in favour of eco traveller couples - not cool.

The hotel has a 100 m pool largest in the country. I love swimming. Clear view of a beautiful lagoon. Interior design beautiful.

From September this year, for reasons unknown, the hotel changed its entire market. Now children are banned- who would have thought it, in SL? The wonderful pool is unused. The entirety of the menu appears designed for the Far East - eg sushi dishes - tiny little haute cuisine plates, the odd Sri Lankan dish on the menu- rice and curry. The beloved buffet has gone- all the large laughing loud expatriate and local families gone. The restaurant has about 6 people max as of today. More waiting staff. Some of the staff who served me - made the same mistake 2 or 3 times. Obviously I should be able to speak Singhalese and my mother tongue Tamil. I know the waiting staff mean really well and are really kind but they were not really able to explain what the number of the dishes were and I had to look it up on Google. I ended up making orders that were off the menu. Reception hospitality was faultless and the rooms and premises were spotless and really well maintained. But I think Jetwings Lagoon is making a real mistake banning children and directing their attention to the Eastern/ European eco traveller.

Very relaxing place to be if you want a few quiet days ina resort setting.

Beautiful villa style rooms with a private outdoor bathroom in rear courtyard. The villas overlook a huge 100m long swimming pool set in a well maintained tropical garden. The restaurant offer a nice view over the lagoon and the staff all went out of their way to accommodate us including fetching fresh coconuts for our 9 year old.

The property is a bit of a trek into Negombo to access restaurants. The beach (as per elsewhere in Negombo, is not particularly appealing. The hotel has a second pool by the beach (across the road from the hotel) however we didn’t try this as this wasn’t as well maintained and we didn’t like the setting too much.

Always love a Bawa design. The outdoor bathroom is the best I’ve seen. The 100m long pool is a must to experience.

On a very hot day, more shade would have been appreciated.
